i’m not anti-PAP or pro-WP or pro-opposition. But the WP, based on media reports and rally turnout, is very strong this year. Based on the large support it has in Aljunied, it would win that GRC. Hougang has always been under WP, so there will be no change this year. but i think the upgrading carrot dangled by the PAP will make the fight a very close one, though i think WP will still emerge victorious.

for Potong Pasir, i hv utmost respect for Chiam. I think he is good but his age will be a disadvantage this year. so i think he will lose. ok so there are other ppl in the govt who are older, but Chiam is the only guy holding up one whole constituency. Both SDA and WP won an SMC in the 2001 elections. SDP didn’t win any. Similarly i think SDP won’t win any seats this year. And because Chiam would lose in Potong Pasir, WP will be the opposition with the best results.

my only concern now is: if WP wins in aljunied, does that mean the PAP MPs in that grc can no longer be MPs?! what will happen to my FM and Minister of State?! I wonder who would be NCMP this year tho..
