Warning: long entry!! hv to mk sure i write every single detail down so i wun forget wat happened.

Wai, i finally watched I,Robot!! but i was bloody disappointed tho. wasn’t wat i expected, waste of money. some scenes not necessary, like Will Smith showin off his hot bod in the shower. lame. den some lines aso quite duhz. and the ending. hm i guess it was kinda weird, cos they talk talk talk so much scientific bs and i din raellie understand it, and it was kinda plodding abit, and the end, when you start to knoe who the ‘killer’ is, it moves so fast aft dat. hm i wun go so far as to say i shld hv watched Ella Enchanted instead, but watchin this was defn a waste of $$+disappointing! but again, the themes raised, were quite interesting lah. maybe i shld go think abt it.

grouse: why issit dat when i say i want 2 tix to so-and-so movie, they alwayz assume dat i want couple seats? last time for van helsin lydat, this time aso. hm last time abit no choice lah, cos no more seats liaoz. but this time she asked, “u want as far back as possible rite?” i reallie din understand wat she meant leh! haha so innocent rite? the onli thought dat came to my mind was dat i din wanna sit so far in front and hv to tilt my head up to view the screen. so i juz said, “er yar thanks” and i got last row seats! gee and right beside us was this couple *ahem* yar. but not dat they reallie affected my viewing lah, and no i wasn’t even lookin at them lah. but still.

went to play pool aft dat. meridien was nearest, but cuppage was cheaper so we walked down to cuppage. hm abit dingy and dark, but still alrite. oh well i dun think i won any game did i? i so lousy, shld be nv win anythin lah, but at least i did come close to doing so haha.

halfway thru playing, he asked, “so when are you getting your license?” i was like, “huh? wat license? driving license?” he said yes so i said, “nah i’m not gonna learn at all, juz waitin for some guy to learn and drive me around.” hm u could interpret wat i say in both ways tho, rite? but wat i meant was i hope my future bf can drive me can liaoz haha. aniweas he laughed and den kept silent, and den said hesitantly and quietly, “caryn maybe one of these days i can drive you to school.” i was stunned. seriously. i din knoe how to answer dat. erm guess u could interpret his comment both ways too rite? like wat xn says, a ride is a ride is a ride. who cares who’s giving u the ride as long as u hv a ride? so convenient and easy mah. but i certainly wasn’t thinkin dat way. u get wat i mean anot? so i din knoe wat to say, but a lot of diff answers were flashing thru my mind. “er thanks.” “erm thanks but no thanks.” “haha my dad drives me to sch liaoz.” haha in the end i juz kept silent lor. and den asked abt his car again. hm he did say b4 dat his parents offered to buy him a car, but he rejected the offer. dunno whether he would reconsider anot lah, but doesn’t reallie matter to me.

den aft dat, he walked with me back to dhoby gaut since i had to tk mrt from there to go kovan for class outing. so i felt quite bad mah. cos originally i wanted to watch I,Robot but he din reallie wanted to. and i was the one who wanted to play pool aso. and i was the one who had to walk back to dhoby gaut. and he juz shui bian do everything dat i want to do, so i felt bad mah. so aft we parted ways, i msged him to thank him. and u knoe his reply? “silly girl. it was my honour to do so.” coming on the heels of his car thingy earlier on, this sounded quite ‘wat’ aso. hm maybe he doesn’t mean anything, maybe he does. watever the reason, it juz mks me uncomfortable lor. he shouldn’t mean anythin lah. muz be he juz being nice.

hm but well not dat nice actualli. he was late!! had to wait like half an hr for him? eh thought it’s the guy wait for girl not the other way? some more so late. somemore still hv to help him buy lunch cos we were gonna be late for the movie. hm and he aso nv open door for me!! hai. so confirm he dun mean anythin, cos if he does, i think he’s the kind of person who would open door for the gal one.

i tell u, the ultimate act of chivalry has to got be this: when both are crossin the road, and the cars are coming from the right, the guy will walk on the gal’s right side. den as u walk further on and the cars come from the left, the guy will change and walk on the girl’s left. hm abit OTT, but still nice tho it isn’t wat i would expect lah.

aniweas went to kovan mrt to meet with the rest of the class for bbq at daryl’s house. coincidentally met zh and wx at dhoby gaut mrt. chatted to her for quite some time b4 i realised dat i shldn’t hv interrupted her and her bf cos they dun get to see each other very often. so i siam to the other side.

when we arrived, no1 was around. den liting, qy and cindy came. turned out dat amanda and shiuan arrived on time and went walkin around since no1 was there yet. so it was juz us gals, b4 marc and his gf came. hm angela is her name. i think she looks pretty sweet. not a looker, but passable at least. but i din knoe wat to say to her tho, and i guess she muz hv felt as awkward as we all were. i dun understand why ppl were so against his bringing angela. okie i admit i was stunned/shocked/etc esp since i din knoe he was attached. and while i did feel dat it was abit show-off to bring her along, i dun see why ppl were givin him so much stick abt it. like the last time we had steamboat at marina south, leon brought xinyang along aso mah. so maybe marc thought since his good fren did dat, nothin wrong with him doin the same thing as well wat. *shrugs* oh wells, thankfully they din stay long anyway, or poor angela would feel even more uncomfortable.

so jx and jy came to pick us up in their cars. haha all act cool one, nv turn their heads to greet us when we saw them. aniweas amanda, zh, shiuan, liting and i squeezed into jx’s car while the rest went into jy’s car. hm except dat no more space for daryl and darrell so we had to leave them behind. it was pretty cool sittin in the front seat of jx’s 2 mth old car, wah felt so comfy. u can reallie feel it when the car is new. not so much the interior being smooth and polished and all, but the wheels, the car when it’s moving, the feelin, can juz feel it. so jx couldn’t find his way to daryl’s hse. goodness dunno why his hse so hard to find one. so while callin darrell to tell him abt di, i asked daryl for directions aso. we passed a sch, i can’t rem wat, and jx said it’s not a veri friendly neighbourhood (cos he was frm st pats) haha. so i gave him the directions daryl gave, and juz as i said “turn left” at the KCB road, jx said, “i knoe” in such a tone dat implied dat he wasn’t reallie lost at all and din need directions. get wat i mean? hm turn out jy was aso lost, and the poor guy had to turn back to fetch daryl. aniweas i went out with jx again to pick up darrell, di and joy who were both late.

how many ppl turned up? me, shiuan, amanda, zh, di, liting, jolyn, cindy, qy, joy and puiwen, who came much much later. guys wise, all turned up i think. yea. so 22 ppl in all i think. not a bad turn out. i heard there was a lot of food left, but i din see anythin lor. and i din eat much either. we all juz spent the time talkin. but the drinks weren’t enuf lor, i was so thirsty. btw, vodka+coke sux. vodka+sprite tastes so much betta. me and amanda drank quite a bit b4 we realised dat there was alcohol in the sprite! aniwaes the outing wasn’t as segmented as i thought it would. so all in all, quite fun lah. it was reallie nice to see everyone again, esp jy and kelvin. hai. kelvin. feel so sad cos i used to be fairly clsoe to him in jc. but he looks like a Machi beng now! and his A levels. :blank1hm but still fun and great to talk to lah. and jy, talked to him for a bit too even tho i wasn’t reallie close to him as well. think he looks betta with contacts and extra sunlight. was horrified when he and kelvin said they may become gay. it’s not dat i hv anythin against gays, i’m perfectly fine with them, i juz think it’s a waste of potential, less choices for us gals! haha esp since kelvin and jy so cute.

so aft dinner i played mahjong with joy, jx and liting. hm was fallin aslp and haven’t played for so long dat i’ve forgotten!! we stayed till quite late, so jx gave us all a lift home. we had trouble gettin out again. i told jx dat i would buy him a street directory ofr his bday. he dropped joy right opposite her block *ahem* and kindly drove me all the way home den dropped darrell and liting ‘somewhere betwn their houses’, wherever dat is. think he quite nice lah, do so much ferrying the whole nite, but din hear him complain at all. and becos his car so comfy, and i was fallin aslp in the backseat, i stupidly gave him wrong directions in dat he made a big round b4 arriving at my hse. he aso nv scold or anythin lydat. luckily sia, wat a decent guy. oh jx is comin SMU too, and when i told him dat he made a good choice cos there are a lot of chio bu at SMU, he gave me a look, and asked why am i tellin him dat when he’s onli goin to SMU for the sole purpose of studying? wat bs. i waved him away and refused to ans haha. hm felt quite bad cos i left daryl’s hse w/o cleanin up. nv help him keep the mahjong table or pick up the bottle from the floor etc. reallie glad dat he so readily offered his hse to us to mess it up haha. liting, your turn next!!

P.S: think i’m mixing around too much with the wrong company!! hv started to tease ppl like ivan, jx, his ‘wife’ *ahem* and cram. all your fault!! you knoe who you are!! it’s not veri nice, i must stop it!

P.P.S.: pls help me remember dat i hv $9 left and this money can go towards the next gathering. dun ask me how come got leftover, i aso dunno. so much for being a future accountant. canot even balance. :err1
