so i went for the MFG thingy. was in Orchard b4 dat, and i waited to freaking LONG for the stupid bus 16. i was so irritated and so kan cheong cos not very nice to be late. i waited for the stupid bus for at least 15mins leh!! and when it came it was so bloody crowded, luckily i managed to board it. luckily aso i not dat blur and alighted at the correct stop. the trial was pretty cool, but i felt so intimidated. the ppl there had a reallie great sense of rhythm, and i felt so out of place and stoned. felt so scared dat i would play out of tune and i felt so inadequate in my music knowledge. but it reallie sounded very cool and amazing when we gel together for the free form and the song. amazing to knoe dat different ppl and different instruments can sound like dat. anwieas i juz wished it would start quickly, so dat i can help out b4 sch starts. felt abit disappointed and angry dat they were takin so long to arrange everything. mebbe they realie do hv a lot of things to work out so bo bian. and one of the guys talked abt the Sarawak music workshop thing. he made it sound reallie reallie cool. how do u go to stuff like this? get invited? buy tix? wat?! i wanna go see too, even if i realie suck at music.

oh yes Evie, the cute guy we saw!!! she thinks he’s like an ABC, i think he’s got a Jap look. either way, he’s C-U-T-E!!! cant stand it lor, i dun care even if he has crow’s feet or looks late 20s/earli 30s. he’s so damn cool, and i love the way he speaks and laugh. wah dat’s it, i’m in lust hahahha.:blush1 i wun even knoe wat else to say abt him except dat he’s sooo good-lookin. i can wake up and go to sleep seeing his face 24/7 man. i wouldn’t mind! oh man cant wait to see him again, but too bad no pic of him for me to drool over haha. oh and yar, think he must be attached. Evie says he doesnt give off the gay vibes, wat gay vibes i raellie dun knoe but since she’s a fag hag, i’ll trust her input abt this. so means he’s straight, so means he cfrm attached. man she muz be some tall, slim, and with long hair chio bu. hai. can u imagine how his kids wld look with his kinda genes? wah.

oh and my bloody period came and i was wearing a bloody white skirt pun fully intended i think. but luckily nv stain at all, if not i wld hv been so mortified.

yes and clubbin is so NOT me so i dun raellie care whether i live near Zouk anot. i dun even knoe how to get there and where it is ah!

hm this comin wk is gonna be a pretty busy one again. hai think i’m gonna be very tired too. betta go and pack my messy table now.

my colleagues treated me to dim sum as a farewell lunch for me. so nice hor? i din even give them anything yet or mentioned anything, but they proposed it. we went to Kelong 88 at Thomson Plaza. i rem goin there long ago when i was a kid. food okie lah, normal, but the guilingao sux lor. the best guilingao is at Paramount Hotel the Tung Lok restaurant there. aniwaes think i eat a lot more den my colleagues lor. like they full alrdy, i still got room lor. hahadat’s why i hate sharing food with them, coz i always got not enuf to eat and paiseh to tk more haha. yar so i dapao the egg tarts back. wah quite ex leh, it’s abt $2.20 for 3 small pieces? coz dim sum egg tarts is the small small kind mah, 1,2 bites can finish liaoz. the tarts quite nice, not bad, but i still think the ones at Neptune is betta. aniweas now muz think of wat to get for them liaoz and must write my thank-you notes. oh and i took pics with them, think i look very pretty in the fotos!! :beam1 haha. oh yes and i saw 2 cute ABNNs!!! one was in my office, think he is from the North, so kinda fair skinned n his features very handsome!! wow juz imagine how pretty our kids would look!! haha. the other 1 i spotted in the MRT, a cuter version of UK Shyam. ooh actualli a couple of wks ago, i saw this other AM guy on the train dat looked like Garrett, but a cuter version as well. but he was kinda bhb, coz he kept starin at himself in the train platform reflection. cant stand ppl lydat. i mean, okie lah who isn’t vain, and who doesn’t want to check out their reflections. i do too sometimes. but some of this ppl can be OTT smtimes. like last wk, i saw this lady, looks of Filipino descent, who was preening in front of the train platform while waitin for the train. she was staring at herself, arranging her hair, den turning around to look at his butt and backview and walkin abit to see how she looks. aiyo CMI.

my “chor-gong’s” birthday! for the uninitiated, chor-gong refers to great-grandfather. not dat my chor-gong reallie is alive lah. i was referring to the MD of my company. his 60th birthday i think. so becos his office is on the top floor, and mine is too, we were all invited to give him a surprise party. which wasn’t much of a surprise considerin we do it every yr and he alrdy expected it b4 hand. it was kinda funny actualli, we had to line up and sing the birthday song in English and chinese. coz my dept is right at the back, by the time we got there, the song was over. so there was a huge cake in the shape of the longevity peach. and he made a wish and blew out the candles. he was presented with a calligraphy scroll of the Chinese word “shou”. den there was champagne and everyone got a glass. i nearly made the mistake of holding the ‘cup’ of the glass with my palm instead of by the stem. the last time i did dat, my dessert wine got warmed up and tasted kinda flat. yar so we toasted him, and got to pick an ang bao from this basket he was carryin around, except dat inside no money juz sweets. den he picked a 4D number aso, which i din buy coz i think it’s not a very nice number and shure wun open haha. there were some reallie cute mini sandwiches as well. dat’s all lah, den i juz escaped to my seat and continue with my work. ooh but later in the aftnn, Hilton Hotel sent him a cheesecake!! woah Hilton cheesecake is supposedly the best of all, so every1 was kinda excited and rushed to the pantry and lucky my dept was right beside the pantry. hm i juz shared a bit with my colleague lah coz not enuf. i wld hv gobbled the whole cake down if i could haha. nah but it wasn’t dat fantastic lor, dunno why they like it so much. my colleague say cos it’s rich, but for me it’s all nice good food dat mks me happy aft i eat it. quality wise it din seem as fantastic as they mk it out to be.

okie so Tues was supposed to be a pretty ordinary day. i was nearly fallin aslp in the office until i had an ‘adventure’ in the late aftnn.

well there was some conference dat my company organised, so they invited all those big shots to come. so apparently this guy arrived in SG in sun nite, and used his Germany-issued PostBank card at one of the ATM machines at Changi Airport. his card can supposedly be used at any machine dat has a Visa logo. so dunno wat happened, the DBS machine ate up his card, and he called up DBS to ask. they told him his card was issued in Germany so none of their biz. he called up Germany and they said he lost his card in SG so none of their biz. so he was kinda pissed and he complained to my boss who was aso at the conference. so since he big shot, and he complain to her, she decided to help him get the card back. so my dept secretary had to call DBS countless times to get the card back, and they agreed but said dat the big shot muz collect it himself. obviously he wun and cant since he’s in the conference, so more calls, more talking, until finally they agreed to let us tk the card and pass to him. so since i’m the sua kang person in the office, and since they all got work to do and datelines to meet, i had to leave at around 4+,5pm to tk a cab down to DBS Bank in Chai Chee, tk the card, den go to Grand Copthorne Hotel where he was there for the conference. in the end, i din even get to see who this big shot was, coz i juz passed the card to my boss. bah. it was quite a mad rush reallie, coz i was supposed to go watch a movie aft dat, and i was so afraid dat i was gonna be late. so from the hotel, i juz took another cab to Orchard. haha all cab fees claimed from my company.

aniweas i went to watch “The Return”. this Russian film abt a r/s betwn a father and his sons. Life gave it 5 stars and it won quite a few awards, but i dun feel dat it deserved all the accolades. it din reallie mk me think, unlike “Facing Windows”. all i felt at the end was “huh? dat’s it?” but it was good acting tho, and the camping scenes reallie freaked me out coz it reminded me soo much of my oBS times. oh man well i survived it all and thought it was an interesting experience, i NEVER want to do it again. lookin at the sons paddling the boat in the rain and trying to mk it to shore, and them being so tired. lookin at them camping, cookin the food over fire, washing the bowls with sea water. aiyo all so much like OBS times, so freaky. it’s too rough and tough for me, i prefer the comfort in the city. and the paddling, aiyo like the horrible kayaking i did on the first day, hvin to paddle reallie fast coz we were laggin behind and the huge storm was looming. yucks. oh apparently my manager was in the same cinema, watching the same movie at the same time, and was sitting in the row right in front of mine. but i din even see her and vice versa. we onli found out the next day. talk abt yuan fen. like those rubbish mediacorp shows. so near yet so far.

aniwaes got a lot of other movies to watch!! how!! sure hv to waste $$ again. i dun mind a free tic to Collateral or 13 Going On 40. The Swimming Pool is coming out!! this one MUST watch!! and the sequel to Princess Diaries!! it looks damn funny!! and Ladder 49, the firemen show. oh man, my favourite kind of show, even if it seems a lot like Backdraft. William Baldwin was so damn cute in Backdraft, and it was so damn sad. and i knoe dat if i were to watch Ladder 49, i would cry like crazy too. and did i mention Alexander? his story has a special meaning to me, so i want to watch the movie to see the screen version even if i dun like Colin Farrell. and it’s all not coming out yet, and my sch’s gonna start!!!

hm think this is gonna be another long entry again. hai. okie for some ppl, i shall attempt to break this up. let’s start with Sunday 25th July 2004.

Lancelot :heart1, Galahad :heart1 and Tristan :heart1. omg. they’re all so cool. but onli in the movie King Arthur. like, if u go and look for their pics, Ioan Gruffurd, Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelson (??), they look kinda weird w/o facial hair and Arthurian get-up. can u believe Ioan was in TITANIC?! omg. and hugh is in Ella Enchanted!! aniweas the movie was okie, other den the cute guys and the chio Kiera Knightley, it was nothin much. i dun care wat the actual legend is, but the movie is different from the legend I know. i mean, Excalibur was not pulled from Arthur’s father’s grave for god’s sake!! and Merlin was not some weird Woad with funny face paint and hiding in the jungles!! abit the crap actualli, and wat was dat shit with the sex scene b4 the big battle? SO BLOODY LAME! subtlety for goodness’s sakes! not some stupid line abt wat will happen tmrw and juz fall into bed. shit. and i couldn’t help thinkin dat Kiera’s Guinevere looks reallie YOUNG and FAIR next to Clive’s Arthur who is OLD and DARK. jeez. and the cliche part where the knights return back to fight with Arthur, so totally expected. but i loved the scene at the frozen pond, so damn cool, and so sad Gawain had to die. but he was so heroic. oh yes, the big battle. i couldnt help thinkin dat it was so so unfair to Lancelot and Tristan. i mean, this is now Arthur’s battle, he chose to fight it. yet Tristan was the one who started fighting with Cerdic. and died in the process. and all Arthur had to do was step in and kill dat guy. den during the scene at the frozen pond, the camera shifted from Guinevere to Cynric and back again, so i knew she was gonna fight him in the big battle. and hello, she is Arthur’s woman liaoz yet he din go help her and Lancelot had to go and lose his life in the process as well. u get wat i mean? it’s not their battle, but they fought it, and they died for him. aniweas i think Viggo Mortensen mks a betta king compared to Clive Owen. Clive’s got the ‘seh’ but juz not enuf compared to Viggo.

oh yes, i decided dat i hv another love from the movie. Cynric. Til Schweiger. even if his character is totally spineless in the movie, he’s quite cute aso. even if i totally went crazy over Kip Pardue in Driven and not him. even if he speaks with a funny voice. haha i went to watch my Driven VCD again juz to see him haha. perhaps i shld change my office desktop pic to him? hm more abt dat later.

aniwaes aft the movie, we went to Clarke Quay flea market!! walked around, bought a lot of postcards. damn it those bloody ppl shld be prosecuted!!! u knoe u can collect free postcards at those stands in Orchard or wherever? these ppl go there and tk the whole bloody lot and den sell it at Clarke Quay!! but i bought it aniwea. damn i was desperate, i wanted the Lancelot and Arthur postcard coz i onli got the Guinevere one from Lido. damn it den i saw the Arthur postcard at Cine and the Lancelot one at Lido, AFTER i bought from Clarke Quay. shit. yar and we bought some books, one of Monet, bad choice actualli, considering i alrdy hv a book on Impressionism at home. and another book of poetry by Pablo Neruda. hai i read so long and onli found 1 dat i reallie liked. and i bought a bag too. Ma niao me for buying a second-hand bag, even if it was onli $2.

I’ve alrdy talked abt Mon 26th July. nothin much except i went out to meet my SMU friends aft dat. okie lah, i onli went for the meetin coz i wanted to knoe wat they were gonna bid for. had Swensen’s. reallie think the food there is gettin betta. and the ice cream is still fantastic. yea and my fren said my skirt nice!! haha i aso think so!! :beam1

i feel so embarrased.

met a really distant acquaintance just now who enquired abt ah ma even tho she din knoe her personally. she asked how’s my grandmother. the answer was stuck in my throat and i could feel tears welling up. i juz shook my head cos i couldn’t say anything. den she asked is she sick? and i couldn’t answer again so i shook my head and by then it was quite bad and i had to juz lower my head. think she knew wat was wrong and she apologised.

so pai seh. goodness, breaking down in front of ppl i barely knew. den i couldn’t stop crying. luckily it wasn’t the full-blown tears streaming down face without stopping kinda thing. juz a short while, and i had to get back to work anyway so i juz forced myself to stop. was tempted to run to my office toilet tho.

aniwaes on to other less sad stuff. perhaps excessive crying causes wrinkles under the eyes? dunno leh. nvm, got botox! haha last time for comms this grp presented on botox. like quite simple wat. go for a jab tks only half an hr, can go during lunch time! but it’s quite ex, forgot how much, hundreds of dollars. and the effects last for 6mths, so aft dat u muz go back again. hm dun think i wld go botox. haha since we’re talkin abt cosmetic surgery, the other day when i met amanda in orchard, dunno wat we talkin abt, den i suddenly thought of the breast enlargement salons and the report in the news abt how their customers are complaining that the treatments do not work. so i brought the topic up and amanda asked whether i would go for this kinda thing. haha i dun think so, not at the moment, i’m quite happy with the size of my assets haha. but seriously if i wanna go, i wld go str for operation lor. y go for this dat’s not proven, canot cfrm, and tk so many treatmts to see the effects? might as well go str for operation except every1 will knoe it’s fake lor, coz it wld be damn obvious. and u nv knoe when the silicon implant can leak or explode! haha my favourite thought since jc, ie, wat happens when u go for breast op and the silicon implant explodes or smthin? den muz go for other op to remove and put in new 1 or dunno wat. so ma fan, aiya dun go alrdy. the one thing dat i want to go for is lasik!! den i can be rid of my ugly specs and irritating contacts. but no money lah. and my colleague scared me with the stories she heard abt ppl goin for lasik and still hving problems aft dat. now i dun dare to go.

rem the cute AM guy on the same floor as me has another AM fren whom i said was quite cute also? this other guy looks younger, and has a Beatles-like hair style. haha cool hairstyle okie, at least he can carry it off. he looks deliciously shaggy haha. he works on the 5th floor and is a perm staff here!! how i knoe? coz i went down to the recept to ‘deliver’ the DHL package, den he was there talkin to some other person. so juz as i went back to the lift lobby, he went back too. so i could see his card when he scanned lor, so got his picture, so means he perm staff. den we got into the same lift! haha and he opened the door and let me in first okie. yar so only 2 of us in the lift! wah wasted u knoe, nv grab him and u knoe 😉 haha aiya but canot lah, he on the 5th flor, so fromt the 1st to the 5th floor sure the lift will move and reach very fast mah. so wasted hor. shld hv asked him smthing, like which cty he is from, juz to mk conversation hehe. yups den aft lunch aso, saw him and the AM guy on the same flr as me in the pantry. cool man, double the eye candy!! hahaha
